Last month, Whitney announced their sophomore album, Forever Turned Around, which is due out on August 30th via Secretly Canadian. Now, the Chicago-based band led by Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max Kakacek has unveiled a new single, “Valleys (My Love)” with a cinematic music video.
Following up lead single “Giving Up,” “Valleys (My Love)” is a bittersweet tune that focuses on the anxiety of being away from loved ones. Inspired by a drive through Montana, the group pairs mournful lyrics with cascading instrumentation and heartfelt vocals.
To accompany the song, Whitney has released a gorgeous music video by Kamp Grizzly, which was directed by Nick Woytuk. Shot in Portland, Oregon, the clip follows a commercial truck driver as he crosses the country, splicing in shots of the life he’s left at home.
