A great crochet craft project for those still mastering their new talents, they take no time at all to knock out and are very forgiving when it comes to little mistakes … which is always a bonus.
In terms of the crochet stiches required, the pattern focuses on the following:
- Crochet in a round
- Single crochet
- Single decrease
- Single increase
You’ll also need a few very basic supplies, which are as follows:
- Any color worsted-weight yarn of your choosing
- Colored thread to create the beak
- Felt to cut out for eyes (white, green, yellow etc)
- Crochet hook – F/5 3.75mm
- Plastic safety eyes (Two 6mm for owl)
- Stuffing for the owl (your choice)
- Yarn needle
- Embroidery needle
- Fabric glue
