Karen Jane Allen is a famous American actress. Well!! Her stardom rose after starring in movies like Scrooged and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Along with a successful film career, Karen also gave her attention to the stage work which included her Broadway performances. Karen has also done direction work for film and stage performances.
Her most recent movies include Bad Hurt, Year by the Sea, 50 states of Fright (2020), and “Cole well” in 2019. Other than acting, Karen has started a textile company named as “Karen Allen Fiber Arts” and also gives yoga classes regularly.
Karen Allen was born on the 5th of October in the year 1951 in Illinois to Carroll Thompson Allen and Ruth Patricia. She grew up along with two sisters. Karen’s father worked as an FBI agent and her mother was a University professor.
She spent her childhood in various places because of her father’s job and being in a female dominating family, she grew pretty strong and independent. At the age of 17, Karen graduated from DuVal High School. After that, she got enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and started a boutique on the university campus.
During her early 20s, Karen developed a passion for acting after watching Jerzy theatre production there. Karen Allen made acting debut in 1978 and played several supporting roles. Over the years, she got roles in many major films like Cruising, The Wanderers, and Manhattan.
Her breakthrough came in 1981 for her leading role in Raider of the Lost Ark, which made her win accolades globally. Karen made her Broadway debut in the year 1982. In 1988, Karen got married to fellow actor Kale Brown and they gave birth to their son named Nicholas in 1990. Later they got divorced in the year 1980 and she takes care of her son by own.
